CHICAGO – June 4, 2019 – Terry Kiwala and Logan Bender have joined Chicago-based First Analysis’s venture capital investment and equity research team.
As vice president, Terry Kiwala will expand First Analysis’s venture investing and equity research efforts in enterprise productivity software, leveraging his prior executive experience in the technology and education sectors as well as his investment banking background.
Prior to joining First Analysis, Kiwala was chief financial officer of Vokal, a software development company, president of Vokal subsidiary Mobile Makers Academy, a coding boot camp, senior vice president at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, and associate vice president at National-Louis University. Earlier, he was an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and government from the University of Notre Dame and is a CFA charterholder.
Logan Bender joins Managing Director Corey Greendale on the human capital management (HCM) software team. He will support the group’s substantial franchise in HCM venture investing and equity research while also expanding First Analysis’s focus on investment and research in software-as-a-service vertical applications.
Bender was an equity research sector specialist at Putnam Investments prior to joining First Analysis and an equity research associate analyst at Canaccord Genuity Group, focusing on technology sectors in both roles. Earlier, he was an intern at Adage Capital Management. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University and an MBA from Yale University with a focus in asset management. He is a CFA charterholder.
